WATERFALL WANDERERS FULL DAY TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

CONNECT WITH TRADITIONAL OWNERS

Connect with Traditional Owners, proud descendants of the Yidinji and Mbabaram peoples, to learn more about their rainforest culture at the magnificent Cathedral Fig Tree. They’ll share stories of lived histories passed down through generations and an unbroken connection to country, showing tools and other implements.

CATHEDRAL FIG TREE

The Cathedral Fig Tree is visually breathtaking, from its impressive tangle of roots to its array of branches that reach wide into the canopy, 50m above the forest floor and are covered in ferns and vines. This 500 year-old tree is environmentally and culturally significant. Your guide will explain more of this, during the 45-minute tour with Traditional Owners.

BABINDA BOULDERS

Stunning scenery and refreshing swimming, the beautiful Babinda Boulders is steeped in history and is culturally significant to the Yidinji Traditional Owners. A popular locals spot at the foothill of Queensland’s highest mountain.

JOSEPHINE FALLS

A unique opportunity to slide down a waterfall on a natural rockslide, tumbling into a cool rainforest pool at the bottom, which has been fed by rainfall on Queensland’s highest peak, Mount Bartle Frere.

CRAWFORD'S LOOKOUT

Crawford’s Lookout provides views over the Wooroonooran National Park, part of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. Catch a glimpse of the North Johnston River horseshoe bend between the rainforest trees.

MILLAA MILLAA FALLS

Australia’s most iconic waterfall. The 18m single drop Millaa Millaa Falls tumbles down over hard columnar basalt into a natural amphitheatre, surrounded by lush gingers and native rainforest plants. You’ll be swimming in paradise.

ATHERTON TABLELANDS

Your comfortable coach cruises over the rolling hills and plains of the scenic Atherton Tablelands, where the countryside is a tapestry of rich rainforest, dairy farms, country villages and agricultural fields.

LAKE EACHAM

A dormant Volcanic Crater Lake filled with turtles, crystal clear rainwater and surrounded by wildlife. Lake Eacham has a constant temperature of around 23 degrees Celsius and you can jump right in from the floating pontoon.
