After a leisurely 10AM pickup, you’ll travel through the stunning panoramas of Queensland’s highest peaks, cane fields and pristine rainforest on your way to Josephine Falls. Unearth your inner child on the world famous natural rock slide, slipping into the crystal clear waters. Perfect for the young and the young at heart! You may even spot some of the Far North’s native wildlife in the lush rainforest. Next stop, the famous Babinda Boulders where a tropical picnic lunch will be served – all local ingredients. Here our guides explain the history of this culturally significant site and you can enjoy a leisurely afternoon swim, rest or further exploration before returning back to Cairns. Approx times: 10am – 3.30pm on Monday ~ Wednesday ~ Friday.

ANCIENT RAINFOREST

Wander through the ancient rainforest in the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area and immerse yourself in nature in Wooroonooran National Park. A landscape dominated by towering mountains, pristine rivers and spectacular beauty.

JOSEPHINE FALLS

Ride a natural waterslide at Josephine Falls. The waters here originated as rainfall, which fell on the mountain valleys of Queensland’s highest peak, Bartle Frere. This is a beloved locals swimming spot and you’ll fall in love too.

BABINDA BOULDERS

Swim in the crystal clear water at Babinda Boulders, which is culturally significant to the Yidinji Traditional Owners. Your guide will share their stories of a tragic love story that still ‘haunts’ the waters of the Babinda Boulders.

Splash & Slide Waterfall Wanderers Tour Rates and Information

The half day Splash & Slide Waterfall Wanderers tour includes a picnic lunch provided fresh from an amazing local supplier. Dietary requirements must be advised at the time of booking. Travel is on a comfortable air-conditioned coach, with return transfers from your accommodation to and from the waterfalls. Your times are 10am – 3.30pm – optional stops are time dependent and at the discretion of the driver on the day. All activities and destinations are intended as a guide only and are approximate and subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control (i.e. weather/water). Infants and children are welcome, with the following notes regarding ages. Guests 11yrs and younger: Must be accompanied by a Parent or Guardian whilst on tour. Guardians can be anyone accompanying the minor who is 18 years or older. Guests 12yrs – 17yrs (inclusive) travelling without a Parent/Guardian: Must meet with the Trip Leader/ Senior Staff Member at the arranged meeting/ pick-up location with their Parent/ Guardian. If the Trip Leader/ Senior Staff Member deems the minor is unfit/ unsuitable to travel solo, they reserve the right to deny travel. Guests 17yrs and younger: Must have an Indemnity Waiver/ Tour Check-in completed prior to the start of the tour, signed by their Parent/ Guardian. If you have any medical conditions you are worried about, please talk to our friendly team. Please bring drinking water, a hat and sun protection. For swimming, we recommend to bring a towel, swimming costume, change of clothes and water-shoes if you have them.
